Pancakes

Updated: Jun 30, 2023

Pancakes are very popular food, but lots of people thinks that it is unhealthy and non-dietary. It is not true, if you use the right ingrediants, e.g. spelt flour instead of plain flour. And it also really depends with which food you are going to serve it.

Portion: 4

Cooking time: 20 min

Ingrediants:

100 g spelt flour
50 g ground almond
2 pcs eggs
200 ml milk
75 ml almond milk (optional)
50 g butter
1 pinch salt

Instructions:

  1. Mix the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl, add in the eggs. Mix to combine, then gradually whisk in the milk and almond until you have a smooth batter.

  2. Reheat a frying pan over a medium heat and add a tea spoon of butter. Add a thin layer of batter to coat the base pan, cook until the bottom of the pancake is golden. Then flip over and fry the other side.

TIP: You can serve it with some compote and yogurt cream. Or you can make a salt version and serve it with cheese ham a sweet corn
