Three stages of frozen shoulder


1.FREEZING STAGE

In the first stage, the “freezing stage”, patients usually experience pain associated with any type of shoulder movement, and their range of motion becomes limited.

2.FROZEN STAGE

In the first stage, the “freezing stage”, patients usually experience pain associated with any type of shoulder movement, and their range of motion becomes limited.

1.THAWING STAGE

The third stage is known as the “thawing stage”, because shoulder mobility begins to improve. In this phase, the capsule of the shoulder joint has become thickened and stiff, but over time it gradually loosens. It is important to stretch the shoulder capsule, even allowing for some discomfort, in order to ensure the shoulder joint mobility continues to recover.

One of the biggest signs of this condition is not being able to move your shoulder, regardless of whether that’s on your own or with the assistance of another individual

What casing these condition

The cause of frozen shoulder is commonly unknown. However, there are some risk factors: Surgical - arthroscopy or rotator cuff repairs, Trauma- fractures and dislocations. Previous conditions – a history of previous shoulder problems.

Range of Motion & Stretch exercise

Range of motion exercise are helpful to keep the shoulder moving and help prevent further tightening. When performing these exercise do them slowly and hold the arm at the end-point of the range of motion for few second
